Default Data Validation when a list is already in place

Hi Bob

I don't think that will work
I think the Op will need to set up 2 cells, one with M and one with F (I
used K1 and K2)
and use DV with List and enter the following into the List source
=IF(A1="Mr",$K$1,$K$2)

I want to be able to allow an option on a drop down list only if
another

cell
has a particular value.

What I am trying to do is I have a list of people with their title
(Mr,Ms,Mrs,Miss) and I also have Gender (Male,Female). Both of these
a
dropdown lists. I would like when Ms,Mrs or Miss is selected, it only

allows
an entry of Female to gender, and if Mr is selected it only allows
Male

for
Gender.

Is there any way to do this?

Cheers
