Changing 123456 to $1234.56
I have a large column of numbers that needs the decimal inserted. Please help

Changing 123456 to $1234.56
Put 100 in an empty cell
Edit copy that cell Select the range to adjust edit|paste special|check Divide And then go back and clean up that cell with 100 in it. And format that range the way you like. YoYo2 wrote: I have a large column of numbers that needs the decimal inserted. Please help -- Dave Peterson |

Changing 123456 to $1234.56
FIRST

Changing 123456 to $1234.56
If you wish 123456 to be actual value of 1234.56.................
Place 100 into an unused cell. Copy that cell. Select the column and EditPaste Special(in place)DivideOKEsc Delete the cell with the 100.
