Thanks for that but it seems to be the reverce of what i am after, What i am
trying to do is , if the cell value = 1 then cellcolour turns red , i know i can do this in conditional formatting but if i do then i get an error because i have gone over the 4,000 limit , i was hoping that doing it in VBE might get me over the problem "Pete_UK" wrote: Hi Stan, yes it is, and here's a link to a site with explanations of how to do it: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm Hope this helps.
