Default Multiple If Then Statement based on ranges

I need a formula that says:

If A1 is between $x and $x, then Q1, or if A1 is between $x and $x, then Q2,
or if A1 is between $x and $x, then Q3, or if A1 is between $x and $x then Q4.

I've tried a bunch but they don't seem to work!!
