Default How do I re-set the tab stops in Excel to move 1 cell at at time?

For some reason the tab key does not move over 1 cell at a time, instead it
moves over a number of cells. I've tried using the "help" feature in EXCEL
but can not find a solution. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Tools | Options; open Transition tab; unselect "Transition Navigation Keys"
Somehow your Excel is set to mimic Lotus-1-2-3
best wishes
