How do I...
Use copy paste special.
1. Save the worksheet first. 2. Put =410 in an empty cell somewhere. (Use = if you want formula pasted ie =1200-410, see 6 below.) 3. Copy that value. 4. Select the range B3:U3. 5. Select Paste Special from the edit menu. 6. Select either values or formula from the paste area depending in if you want only the number or a formula. 7. Select subtract from the operation area. 8. Click OK. -- Hope this helps Martin Fishlock, Bangkok, Thailand Please do not forget to rate this reply. "petrino" wrote: I have a list of cells from B3:U3. I need to subtract that number by 410. How do I...
Firstly:
Subtract that number FROM 410, or subtract 410 FROM that number? Secondly: What number do you wish to subtract from 410. If it's the total of the range B3:U3, and if you wish to subtract it FROM 410, then the formula is =410-SUM(B3:U3). -- David Biddulph "petrino" wrote in message ... I have a list of cells from B3:U3. Another option is to put 410 in an empty cell, format it the same way as
B3:U3, select it, copy it, then select B3:U3 and do editpaste special and select subtract. Regards, Peo Sjoblom petrino wrote: I have a list of cells from B3:U3. I need to subtract that number by 410. How do I do that? |
