Default Can I 'auto update' my spreadsheet ?

Hello there

Basic user to excel here so apologies if this is a silly question....but, I
have built a very large spreadsheet with hundereds of individual costings for
my business. I now want to INCREASE each of the numbers by 10% and was
wondering if I can do this automatically or do I have to go through each
individual cell and update myself ??

Any help appreciated

Many thanks

Rich

Try first with a copy of your data...........

In a helper cell put 1.1
Then right-click on it an do COPY
Then highlight all the numbers you wish to increase, then right-click
PasteSpecial Multiply...........

Hello CLR

Many thanks for the reply...but it doesnt seem to work - or more likely I am
doing something wrong..

My set-up is as follows :

Line 1 £10.00
Line 2 £20.00
Line 3 £30.00

It is line 3 that I want to uplift by 10% but struggling to do so..

When highlighting the cells to increase, only do the 10 and 20 cells, not the
30 cell which is a sum of the above two..........the sum will take care of
itself
