Default Static Cenll

Hi: I have a cell D38 that is used in many formulas in its sheet and other
sheets. The problem is every two weeks I have to delete column D. D38
disappears -- even when I refer to $D$38 -- so I have to rebuild all the
referring formulas. Any ideas? thx wayne
