whyis "paste spl" copying concatenated cell changing lastdigit2 0
I'm using "paste special" to copy a concatenated cell into another cell.
When I do this it changes the last 3-4 digits to zeros instead of keeping the correct numbers. Why is it doing this? Thanks! |

While the data is 'text' you can, within very loose limits, have as many characters as you like. As soon as you change this to a number, Excel will only work with 15 digits, the remainder being changed to zeroes. If you have these formatted as text then use paste specialvalues and number formats -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England DTHIS www.nickhodge.co.uk "Robin" wrote in message ...
