Automatically Adding a Degree Symbol in Excel
1. Select the cell or cells where you want to add the degree symbol.
3. In the "Category" list, select "Custom." 4. In the "Type" field, enter the following format code: Formula:
Now, whenever you type a number in the selected cell(s), it will automatically display with the degree symbol followed by "C" to indicate Celsius. You can also modify the format code to display Fahrenheit or other temperature units as needed.

It doesnt work When you typed the 0176, was it on the numeric keypad? If not, try typing this on the numeric keypad. If you did, review the entire sequence of keystrokes and post back here exactly what you did. --ron |
