Default Add-in function - language

Dear all,

I have a problem with the language in the Analyis Toolpack add-in.
Exchanging files between different language set-up results in
non-translation of the XIRR and XNPV functions. Though in the "control box"
(?) you see the correct value, in normal view it does not recognise the
function. For other "normal" functions this translation occurs
automatically.

Examples:
IRR translates in IR
XIRR in dutch should be IR.SCHEMA, but is not translated. Similar issues
arise in German and French versions of the add-in.

Noted as well that the add-in is not necessarily of the same language as the
excel version. I have seen computers with an english Excel ('File', 'Edit',
etc) but where XIRR still does not work , but IR.SCHEMA does.

Does a fix exist?

Kind regards,

Johannes

Hi Johannes,

I think you can try with TranslateIT, a very useful and free add-in you can
download from:

(I'm not sure of names of menus, options and commands, because
translating from the Italian version of Excel...)

Hope I helped you.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Default Add-in function - language

Dear Franz,

It helps me find the right functions, but I hoped to find a fix that I do
not need to retype the functions I think.

My work-around now could be a choose-function with language as input and
depending on that the correct name (XIRR in Enlish, TIR.X in Italian)

Kind regards,
Johannes

Hi Johannes,

with the TranslateIT add-in you don't need to retype anything... Under
"Settings" you can find the option "Repair ATP Functions". Just click that
option and your ATP functions will be translated automatically.
