Default how can i apply labels (or category names) to columns?

I would like to be able to define categories for the columns that I am
working with. To explain, on a worksheet at the top of the A, B,C,D columns,
in row 1 i have put category names. Now, if i gow down in rows beyond the
limit of the screen, and i can no longer see row one, i can not see my
category names any more. Thus, as a solution, i would either like for row 1
to be visible no matter if i am lookint at row 231 OR i would like to see
actual names in place of column A, B, C, etc. Can anyone help me?

Thanks,
Justin

Freeze row 1: click on row 2, go to Windows--Freeze pane and then scroll
down. Your column headings remain in view.

Select A2 and WindowFreeze Panes.

This will leave row 1 in view as you scroll down the sheet.
