Default Drop Down List

I am trying to create a drop down list and the list is in another workbook. I
followed the help instructions to create the list referencing the cells in
the other workbook. That works fine. But when I try to add a drop down from
data/validation and I type in =ListName it tells me it can't use a list from
another worksheet or workbook. The help clearly says you can.

Default Drop Down List

If the source for the list is in another file that file must be open. If
that's not something you want to do put the source in the same file.

Default Drop Down List

bobb

It can be done.

Try following the instructions found at Debra Dalgeish's site.

May be easier to follow.
