Default Subtract time and dates with restrictions

I have a tracking sheet that I would like to have one cell that shows the
date and the subtracted time.
(i.e 01/03/05 11:00, 01/04/05 12:00) are my dates I can get it to the
minutes but not the dates. Also, can there be restrictions put on here as well

Hi Michaela,

Just subtract the first from the later and format the target cell as 'dd
hh:mm'

Bob,
I can get it to give me the time but it will come up o' in the date. As shown

A1 B1 C1
01/03/05 02:00 PM 01/03/05 02:59 PM 01/00/00 00:59

What I want it to do is show the same date and minutes. Also, if it runs
into the next day I want to put time restrictions on it as well. (i.e. the
work time ends 7pm and resumes at 8am)
