What forumula can I use to total the different color cells I have in a column?

Column D

5.25 yellow
3.22 green
2.19 yellow
5.12 red
9.12 green

yellow 7.44
green 12.34
red 5.12

I know how to sum the column, or add the separate colors myself.
Is this possible?
