Default formula help

I need help with a formula
I have 10 days (A1) X RATE OF $800.00 PER DAY (B1) LESS 10% DISCOUNT (C1)
=D1.

I CAN GET THE A1*B1 BUT HOW DO I GET THE LESS 10% IN $$$ AND THEN GET A
TOTAL. I HAVE TRIED BUT CAN'T SEEM TO GET IT.

You should ALWAYS post what you have done for comments and suggestions.
Have you tried=(a1*b1)*.90
