Default Choose date from drop-down calendar

I'm creating a few different expense report and time card worksheets. I'd
like to be able to choose a date from a drop-down calendar (i.e. easy access
to "week ending" information). I've seen it done, but can't find any Help
text or templates on the subject. Is this possible without having to write a
bunch of code?
