I think I am doing it wrong, what do you type for the source to get the list
from another spread sheet. I have typed in the source and I am just getting the formula in the drop down menu and not a list "Marcelo" wrote: Hi Freddo, If I understand what you are looking for, DATA | VALIDATION | LIST hth regards form Brazil Marcelo "Freddo" escreveu: How do you produce a drop down menu in a single cell in Excel |

Freddo
You use the generic term "spreadsheet". Do you mean worksheet in a workbook or another workbook? To use a list from another worksheet or workbook, you must give the list a name and use the name in the source dialog box. See Debra Dalgleish's site for how to do this. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xlDataVal05.html Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Thu, 3 Aug 2006 07:19:01 -0700, Freddo wrote: I think I am doing it wrong, what do you type for the source to get the list from another spread sheet.
