Default result is Zero on every maths functions - sum, multiplication ... etc

Hi all
Thank you M. Philips, that's right, I made a mistake about the NG.

So, I have this problem :
Whenever I use numbers functions, I got a 0 result whether like this :
Cell A = "=5+6" = give 0 instead of 11
or
Cell T = "=5*6" = give 0 instead of 30
or like this :
Cell D = SUM(C3:C7) = 0
thus, even if the cells sum is not 0 and that the cells do not contain
text but number (checked already).

Which option is involved in this process ?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards
F.

Bonjour,

Cordialement,
F.

Please clarify:

Does cell A contain
"=5+6"
or
=5+6
Also, what is the cell's format? Same question for Cell T.

How do you know that cells C3:C7 do not contain text? Assuming the
column width is considerably wider than the "numbers" in question, if
you Format Cells|Alignment and set the horizontal alignment to
"General", then text will be left justified and numbers will be right
justified.

Note that formatting changes the display, not the value of a cell. Thus
it is not sufficient to change the format to a numeric format to convert
text digits to a number. You either have to re-enter them or directly
convert them. The simplest coonversion method would be to place 0 in an
empty cell, copy that cell, select all the cells in question and
Edit|Paste Special|Add. The addition will coerce text digits to
numeric, yet the zero will leave the numeric value unchanged.
