Default Top border in a footer in Excel,

I want to put a top border in an Excel footer under the words that are in the
left and right sections. I inserted a graphic line image in hte center
section-which does a nice border. However, it is below the words I typed in
the left & right sections eventho I did click Enter before I typed the words.
