Default VLOOKUP and Add data

Hello,

My first worksheet that contains a list of error codes. Every week I
receive a new count of errors for each code so I add a worksheet with
the new counts and use VLOOKUP to add the new counts on the first
worksheet.
I would like to know if I receive my weekly error counts with a new
error code that is not listed on my original worksheet, can VLOOKUP
somehow search for it and if not found add it to the list of error
codes in worksheet 1?

Hope that makes sense.

I would appreciate any assistance.
Thank You,
