Default Parsing an excel doc to find max values

Hey,

I have an excel sheet with some 3000 lines that represent a truss I'm trying to design. I'd like to write an excel that checks the beam number (in column A) and the load case (in column C) for the maximum value in column E. Then take that line and paste it into a seperate tab to generate a list of max values for each load case. Each beam has 3-4 load cases (column C) and I need to get the max for each load case for each beam!

ie. element 3 has 10 values reported for dead load, Live load, and wind load. I want the program to go through each of these 3 loads find the max value and put those 3 lines of values in a diffrent sheet. and then move on to the next element.

Any idea how to do this??? Help!!
