Default Excel weblinks live or not

Hi all,

I have a SS with URl's and currently you have to click them to see if
they are doing something (the target url will either be alive or
dead). Is there a way to automate and have a script run that does this
silently and shows a green for live or red for dead on the SS or
something similar? so you know to not even bother with the red ones?

Thanks,

Aaron.
