Default Change 2007 excel Autofilter back to 2003?

Does anyone know if there is a way to change excel's 2007 autofilter
functionality back to like excel 2003 autoflilter use to work? I need to
quickly bring up like values and compare other columns based upon the
filtered values and the extra clicking of the check boxes is driving me nuts!

If it helps any (and if you haven't thought about it yet), you can click the
"(Select All)" entry twice to remove your current selections.

well that doesn't help. It actually adds more steps to the process. I used
to be able to autofilter on value in a column check visually that the
information in the other columns for the returned records were the same or
different and then select the next value. I did this by clicking the
autofilter, arrow down enter and it worked pretty fast. Now I have to
uncheck select all and check the selection I want to filter on then select
all then uncheck select all, or uncheck the checked value and check the next
value. Is't there a way to automatically get the last checked value
unchecked when selecting the next value? Or something else? Lots of extra
clicks.

Hi Jonny

I agree that it is a PIA compared with 2003, albeit, it is more powerful.
Did you realise, that if you right click an any cell within your data
tableFilter you get an option to filter the table by that cells contents.
That can help some times.
Also, with the Data tab visible, to quickly return to removing all
filters, click the clear filter button.

However, I wrote a small routine called FastFilter, which allows you to
filter by typing directly into a cell, without any selection form
dropdowns at all. This may be of some help to you.
You will find in on Dera Dalgleish's site
http://www.contextures.com/excelfilesRoger.html
and go to FastFilter
