Default Table with two pick from list columns that need to vlookup each ot

Hi,

This is a tricky one I think.

I have a table for users to enter criteria on in an excel form. The two
columns, columns A and B, are to be used to enter codes and descriptions
respectively.

So far I have a pick from list validation in column A allowing the user to
pick a code and a vlookup formula in column B selecting the appropriate
description. However, I have been asked to add the reverse functionality -
allow the user to pick a description from column B and have column A
automatically display the appropriate code. Or a mixture of the both!

Bit stuck as how to go about this.

I still cant find a way of doing this, the problem being the vlookup formula
is overwritten when the user selects an option.
