I have 2 spreadsheets in ODS file format. How can I open them or convert
them to Microsoft Office Excel 2003?

I'm not sure if there's any native way to do this in excel. You might look
at this:
http://odf-converter.sourceforge.net/download.html

If just a few files it would be easier to just save them in XL format from
open office.
