Default excel range selection

Hi all,
I'm working in c# with Excel.Range objects.
I would like to know if the Exce.range object always refers to the active
sheet or if it can refer to a different sheet. I mean: may I work on a range
of cell belonging to a sheet different from the active one?

Thanks,

faffo1980
