Default Access to references in VBA

:I have a project where I can see code windows. Under the tools menu item
References... is grayed out. What do I need to do to make the References
accessible?

its greyed out if the project is protected. click on a new workbook and it
should become enabled

Default Access to references in VBA

If the VBProject is protected, you'll need to unprotect it.

Default Access to references in VBA

IIRC, this also occurs when the workbook is shared. Turn off sharing to view
the code.
