Default Is somekind of Slider Selection possible?

Is it possible to create somekind of slider selection control in Excel? I
want people to be able to choose answers to a question using a slider similar
to what you might see in questionaire with answers such as 'extremely poor',
'poor', 'neutral', 'effective', 'extremely effective', although mine will be
number ranges.

Try menu option (xl 2003) Data, then Validation and under settings tab allow
List. When the user selects the cell a drop-down list appears.

You could use a scroll bar on a userform.
