I have a workbook called TMU 501.xls that is linked to another work book
called Member Lists.xls Workbook TMU 501 has drop down lists. These lists get the info from the work book called Member Lists.xls When I open TMU 501.xls, Member Lists.xls is opened automatically using the code below. Private Sub Workbook_Open() Workbooks.Open "D:\My Documents\Ben\Work\Practice\Members List.XLS", UpdateLinks:=True ThisWorkbook.Activate Sheets("TMU 501").Select Range("F3").Select End Sub I have 2 questions:- 1. Is the code below correct for opening a linked work book as it seems to work Ok in Excel 2007, but in Excel 2003 the update links message always appears. 2. Is there any way to close Member Lists.xls automatically when I close TMU 501.xls Thank you |
