There are lots of ways to have Excel use up available memory

Do a internet search on Excel memory Leaskage you will find lots of
articles but nothing that will give you an simple answer to what is
causing the problem or how to solve it

A good starting point would be to post a copy of your book or at least
the code & desribe what it is doing
