Default MsOffice student version question

Is Excel automation working with the student version?
My app written in vbasic when interacting with Excel spreadsheet generates
error:
"run time error '70' access denied"
That happens on user's computer running the student version of MsOffice and
I am not sure which action causes that problem.
I cannot recreate that error with the regular MsOffice version.
Thanks,
Jack

Default MsOffice student version question

Jack -

In the book Professional Excel Development by Bullen, Bovey, and Green, in
the Chapter 22 discussion of Visual Studio Tools for Office, they write:

"VSTO workbooks are only supportedd in the Professional version of Office
2003 and the standalone version of Excel 2003. They are not supported in
either the Standard or Student versions of Office, nor in any previous
version."

I don't know whether this applies to your situation, and I don't know if it
applies to Office 2007.
