Default excell novice needs helps

How can I have row 1 information populate a worksheet? I am currently
Hyperlinking information from a seperate document into this worksheet
on row 1. I want to change the information in the seperate document,
but retain the information previously entered and Hyperlinked to the
worksheet, thus creating a list of info (text, formulas and dates) on
the worsheet by inputting the information in the seperate document.

Am I giving enough information?

Don
