A strange problem! Suddenly every add-in that contains a refedit
refuses to load and and tells "Automation error"

Actually, every attempt to reference this delinquant control is
rejected

Could you think why it started suddenly and why every attempt to refer
to the control fails

I use XP (Windows and Office)
