Default older version and newer version of excel

My sister has 2007 excel on her laptop. she is used to an older
version...98. Can the 98 version be loaded on her laptop even though it has
the 2007 version? I was thinking it could be loaded in a separate file
folder. Will they conflict somehow? thanks for any resonse.

I don't have version 98, so I can't answer your question directly, but I do
have both XL2003 and XL2007 loaded on my desktop with no conflicts between
them, if that helps any. I suspect there would be no problems with XL98
either.

Thanks for the info. In my response, I just went with what the OP posted...
I know there is no XL2007 for Mac, so I assumed that when the OP said XL98,
he was stating the correct version number for a Windows version of Excel...
I am not familiar with the earlier version numbers for Excel (and was too
lazy to check<g), but I see from Bob's post that the OP must have meant
XL97.
