RTD Links retain previous values in certain conditions -- bug?
When I open a new instance of Excel 2007 and create an RTD reference I get
the correct value. Now (in the same instance of Excel) I open a previously saved workbook with a duplicate RTD reference, i.e. same parameters as the reference I just created, and it retains the value from the last time the workbook was saved. If I edit the formula (F2) and hit enter, it updates the cell with the new value. I put a break point in the ConnectData method and it was hit when I created the first formula but not when I subsequently opened the saved workbook. The formula calculation method is set to automatic and F9 does not update the stale RTD reference. If I save the workbook in 2002/2003 format and repeat the scenario in Excel 2003, the problem does not occur. |
