Default does the "Range"object in excel2007 vba still have 65k row limit?

Even though I can get a million rows on the sheet I cant get more than 65536
in the range object.

I can set a range object with say 70000 rows but I cant view the object in
the watch window and I can't use it for the function
ActiveWorkbook.PivotCaches.Add.

Is this a known bug?
