Default reset all pivot field properties

I'm hoping there is an efficient way to reset all properties for a pivot
field. The pivot table pulls from a local Access db, so end users will not
be able to refresh. The problem that I'm hitting is that if items are
deselected or sums/averages/counts are changed, those changes are retained
even when the field is removed from the pivot table and then put back in.
Reseting each property individually is getting inefficient.

Thanks in advance
