Default my macro won't run

I'm not a programmer. I have a macro that I use to parse names:
Mr. Bob Jones III DDS.
I added some selections to parse out to a list of name suffixes. MD, DDS,
IV etc. when I completed these changes, the macro will not run. No error
messages. Usually a column number box would appear and I would list the
numerical value of the column with the name information.
What might I be doing wrong

Hi D,

Try posting the problematic routine.

Otherwise you will have to rely on
inspired guesswork.
