This will return a three character abbreveation using any date
WeekdayName(Weekday(DateValue("4/25/08")), abbreviate:=True) "David B" wrote: I am manually entering an abrv. day of the week in one cell and need to compare that to a formula generated day of the week in another cell in a what if statement.
