Default Splitting decimals

I need to split a figure with a decimal value of 2 places, into 2 seperate
cells.

EG
I have a figure of 1.56 in cell a1
and I want to split it into
A2 and A3
A2 will hold the number before the decimal point and A3 will hold the number
after the decimal point.

Thanks

These formulas should do what you want...

A2: =TRUNC(A1)

A3: =MOD(ABS(A1),1)
