Default Function

What Function I should use when I have, for example, in the 1st column the
names of the students, in the 2nd column I have the grades of the students
and in the 3rd column I would like to know what are the students who got
grades 5 and above. What kind of function and how can I apply this function
in the 3rd column? I use excell 2003, teachers and students edition.
Thanks in advance for any help.

there are plenty of good examples on the web you can search with google.
As an example, have a look at this article:

There are a number of ways but one simple way to highlight the names is:-

Select your column of names in Column A
Format|conditional format
formula is
=B2=5
Select a colour
Click OK
Note that B2 should be the address of the topmost cell in your range
