Default Returning a qualified drop down list

If my data is something like this;

A B C
Sharp ND-208U2 208 W
Sharp ND-216U2 216 W
GE GEPVp-066-G 66 W
GE GEPVc-170-MS 170 W
GE GEPVp-185-MC 185 W
GE GEPVp-200-MS 200 W
Sanyo HIP-180B2-BO-01 180 W
Sanyo HIP-190B2-BO-01 190 W
Sanyo HIP-180BA3 180 W

From the data above, I want to be able to select from a drop down list
either "Sharp", "GE", or "Sanyo". In the next cell, I want the drop down
list to only return those lines that are "Sharp", "GE", or "Sanyo", then I
want to perform lookups deeper within those lines.

Can anyone help? Please be as detailed as possible, as I am not a big macro
user...

Thanks!
