I am currently using 2 workbooks to retreive and present data for my
management. Workbook #1 contains all queries and data tables. Workbook #2 contains all pivot tables and charts in a management dashboard. If I manually open both workbooks, workbook #2 will rapidly refresh the pivot tables as it 'sees' workbook #1 (less than 1 minute for all eight pivot tables). If I just open Wkbk #2 and refresh the pivot tables, it will take between 2 and 5 minutes to refresh each pivot table (~15 min) If I use a macro within Wkbk #2 to open Wkbk #1 and then refresh, I do not get the rapid refresh I am expecting. Instead I get the 15 min refresh. How can I fix this using macros? |
