This is strange. I was using Solver programmatically in Excel 2003 by
referencing Solver32.dll in Library\Solver (from Tools, References in the VB Editor) without any problems. Now it won't let me create this reference any more, giving me the error message: "Can't add a reference to the specified file". Files already saved with this reference still work fine - I just can no longer add the reference to new files. A few other people at my company are having the same problem - could this be some security update or some such that's been pushed out to our machines by our IT department? Thanks |

Has the Security level changed?
Does the problem occur if the Security level is set to low? -- Gary''s Student - gsnu200725 "Smallweed" wrote: This is strange. The security level is still medium as before. When I set it to Low I still
get the same message so I guess it's something else but thanks for the suggestion. I think we've been rolled-out some sort of security patch that's given us the problem.
