Default Am back at last plus a question on calculation

Morning,
after a couple of years of hiatus (search the group for "faucheux"),
am back on my favorite discussion group. Having switched jobs, I
lost a lot of my links. One of them was a great article from the
microsoft web site about how the calculation dependency tree is
actually generated. Do you know where I could find it ? Also, one of
my big problem with Excel was that there was no "solver function",
i.e. you could not display real-time in another cell what the solution
of a solver routine would be. Has there been a work-around this while
I was away ?
Thanks.
