Default Checking formatting in a LARGE workbook

Is there a quick and easy way to check formatting within a large workbook?

My workbook has a about 15 tabs and all of them are protected to some
degree. I have noticed that on a couple of tabs in some cells the formatting
is set to "Special" , "Codigo Postal" - Portuguese Postcode!

I want to change the formatting in those cells back to General.

If your using Excel 2003, you might try turning on the macro recorder and doing

Edit=Replace and work with replacing formats.
