Default Comparing names in different columns

Hi there,

Sometimes a name is written as John Smith, sometimes JohnSmith, sometimes
JSmith sometimes J. A. Smith,

Is there a routine that somehas made to help us compare to see if the names
match?

(Only if its full last name and full first name do we consider it a match.)

Thanks for your help in advance

Can you elaborate? Do you have a list of names somewhere that you are
comparing the list to?
What do you want to do with the ones that match? Or do you just want
a count of matches?
