Default Search for Code

Is it possible to search for specific VB code (a literal string), for
all Excel Programs that are stored on my computer?

Look in Help or manual:

Application.FileSearch

Maybe I'm dense, but Application.FileSearch seems to search for files,
not text within the files.
I want to look for specific VB code.

Thanks, Bernie

bw,

I remember this post on Daily Dose of Excel. I don't know if they came up
with a good answer, but it looks like some ideas.

Hi Doug,

There is a program "AgentRansack" in the link you provided, which is
recommended and professes to find vb code in Excel, but it doesn't work
to my satisfaction at all.

I find it strange that searching for code in a Excel and/or Access would
not be a routine thing for programmers.

Thanks for the link, and your help.
Bernie
