Is it possible to search for specific VB code (a literal string), for
all Excel Programs that are stored on my computer? |

Search for Code
Maybe I'm dense, but Application.FileSearch seems to search for files,
not text within the files. I want to look for specific VB code. Thanks, Bernie "NOPIK" wrote in message oups.com... Search for Code
bw,
I remember this post on Daily Dose of Excel. I don't know if they came up with a good answer, but it looks like some ideas. http://www.dailydoseofexcel.com/arch...-vba-projects/ hth, Doug "bw" wrote in message ... Search for Code
Hi Doug,
There is a program "AgentRansack" in the link you provided, which is recommended and professes to find vb code in Excel, but it doesn't work to my satisfaction at all. I find it strange that searching for code in a Excel and/or Access would not be a routine thing for programmers. Thanks for the link, and your help.
